FIND THE FREEDOM AND HEALING YOU DESERVE.
We don’t believe in taping up old wounds. That’s why we don’t do surface-level healing. We want to help you go deep so you can find the freedom and healing you deserve.

THERAPY PRACTICES WE OFFER:
-
Briefly put, this technique explores how the unconscious mind influences thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This understanding serves as the foundation for all therapy conducted at Mångata Wellness, as we believe that meaningful healing comes from deep levels of insight and self-awareness.
-
An expressive therapy that engages creative and emotional parts of the mind for deeper healing and better understanding of ourselves. While a great technique for all ages, this works particularly well with kids and teens as it allows them bypass difficulties or barriers verbal expression.
-
A heart-focused meditation that can help transmute stress into calm.
-
This technique recognizes that most of our behaviors and tendencies stem from childhood experiences and programming. This can be nurtured and healed by processing traumas and reparenting ourselves.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic model developed by Richard Schwartz that views the mind as being made up of distinct sub-personalities, or "parts," each with its own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. These parts often reflect different roles or functions, such as a nurturing, critical, or protective aspect, and can be categorized into three main types: Exiles, Managers, and Firefighters. Exiles carry unresolved pain and trauma, Managers attempt to protect the person from that pain by maintaining control, and Firefighters react impulsively when the pain becomes overwhelming. At the core of IFS is the belief in the existence of a "Self," a compassionate, wise, and centered core that can guide and heal these parts. The therapy encourages clients to connect with their Self, understand and heal their parts, and restore harmony within the internal system. By addressing these internal dynamics, IFS aims to foster emotional healing, reduce internal conflict, and improve overall mental well-being, helping individuals resolve past traumas, improve relationships, and develop a more integrated sense of self.
-
Play is the natural language of children and allows for symbolic expression of what is going on in their lives. Play is to children what verbalization is to adults. This is an effective way to help children work through emotional and mental issues.
-
This is a modified version of CBT that incorporates more mindfulness-based skills to help improve emotion-regulation and stress.
-
This approach facilitates more awareness of negative or inaccurate thought patterns and provides skills to respond and react differently to thoughts and experiences.
-
This technique is utilized in couples therapy to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.
-
A mostly nonverbal technique wherein a person expresses their understanding of themselves, their world, and aspects of their reality through figurines or miniatures. The scenes created in a sand tray reflect the person's past and present inner thoughts, feelings, and hardships. This is also a great technique for kids and teens.
-
This intervention facilitates greater awareness of our thoughts, emotions, feelings, surroundings, and situations which can help us avoid destructive automatic responses or habits.
-
This technique is predicated on the belief that meaning is a primary force of human motivation. We have the desire and ability to find meaning in our suffering which allows us to find growth and healing even in the midst of hardship.

Group types vary at different times of the year- please contact us for more information,
