TYPES OF MASSAGE WE OFFER

  • In this massage technique, the therapist uses their feet to apply deep, broad, and sustained pressure on the client's body. Ashiatsu is known for its ability to provide deep tissue work and release tension in the muscles. It can be particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic pain, muscle tightness, and limited range of motion.

  • This is a specialized technique that focuses on identifying and addressing neuromuscular imbalances by manipulation of soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons, and fascia. By applying targeted pressure this method seeks to restore the balance between the nervous system and musculoskeletal system, promoting pain relief, improved mobility, and enhanced overall well-being.

  • This type of massage is designed to address the unique needs and discomforts experienced during pregnancy. The benefits include: reduction of nervous tension, improved circulation, relief from muscular discomfort, and reduction of swelling. The baby also benefits as this type of massage increases blood flow, accelerates the removal of waste, and promotes the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the baby.

  • Thai massage is an ancient therapeutic practice that combines elements of acupressure, yoga, and Ayurvedic healing techniques. Unlike traditional massage, which typically focuses on kneading muscles, Thai massage involves a series of slow, rhythmic movements, gentle stretching, and applied pressure along specific energy lines in the body, known as "Sen" lines. The practitioner uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to manipulate the recipient’s body into various yoga-like positions, promoting flexibility, improving circulation, and releasing tension. Thai massage is believed to balance the body's energy, reduce stress, and improve overall health and vitality. It is both invigorating and deeply relaxing, with a focus on restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Often performed on a mat on the floor, it is typically done fully clothed without the use of oils. The therapeutic benefits of Thai massage extend to relieving muscle stiffness, enhancing mobility, improving posture, and fostering a deep sense of relaxation.

  • This is a therapeutic technique that targets the fascia, a connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs in the body. This technique releases tension, adhesions, and restrictions within the fascia, promoting pain relief, improved range of motion, postural realignment, and enhanced tissue function.

  • This technique involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction creates a vacuum effect, drawing the skin and underlying tissues upward. This technique is used to promote blood flow, relieve muscle tension, decrease inflammation, and stimulate healing.

  • This is a specialized form of bodywork that combines restorative yoga, mindfulness, and hands-on massage and aims to create a nurturing and healing experience, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and deep physical and emotional release through the integration of touch, movement, and mindfulness practices.

  • This approach involves integrating elements from massage therapy, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, energy work, and more to create a comprehensive and personalized treatment. By blending different approaches, integrated therapeutic bodywork aims to address physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances, providing a holistic and individualized approach to promote relaxation, pain relief, improved function, and overall well-being.

  • Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that focuses on the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid and the rhythm of the craniosacral system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and the membranes that surround them. This therapeutic technique involves light touch and gentle manipulation of the skull, spine, and sacrum to help release tension, improve circulation, and promote the body's natural healing processes. By balancing the craniosacral rhythm, it can alleviate various physical and emotional conditions such as headaches, neck pain, stress, and chronic fatigue.

  • Visceral manipulation is a hands-on therapeutic technique that focuses on the gentle manipulation of the internal organs (viscera) to improve their function and enhance the body's overall health. It is based on the principle that the organs, such as the stomach, liver, intestines, and heart, have natural movement and mobility, which can be restricted due to injury, surgery, or emotional stress. This restriction can lead to dysfunction, pain, and discomfort. Through light, targeted pressure and stretching, visceral manipulation aims to release these restrictions, restore proper organ mobility, and promote better circulation, alignment, and energy flow. Practitioners believe that by improving the mobility of the organs, the body can heal more effectively, alleviate pain, and improve digestion, respiration, and other bodily functions. It is often used to address issues like chronic pain, digestive problems, and post-surgical recovery, and is considered a holistic approach to healing that integrates the mind-body connection.
